Provisional Acceptance Letter has received for EPIC for Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package 1) at Mesaieed Port Project

Provisional acceptance letter has received on 23.05.2010, which was validated from 30.04.2010, forEngineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning for Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package1) at Mesaieed Port Project, which was undertaken as STFA-JDN Consortium by the contract signed on 01.05.2008 with Qatar Petroleum.

Total contract amount is US$ 531 million and STFA share is US$ 268 million. The project was completed one month earlier than planned duration.

The project consists of Construction of breakwaters to create the New Port and Drydock Complex The scope of the project shall consist of, widening of existing channel to Gabbro Berths, deepening of existing basin at Gabbro Berths 1 and 2, dredging of new basin for new Gabbro Berth 3, construction of the 400 m long new quay wall for Gabbro Berth 3, filling and reclamation behind the quay wall, procurement, design and manufacture of Ship to Shore Cranes, construction of substation and carrying out related electrical works.

1500t/Hr 4 Unloaders have arrived Qatar

Gabbro Berth Expansion Project consists of and with a capacity of 1500t/Hr 4 Unloaders have arrived Qatar and set down to Berth 3 which is constructed by STFA

With a capacity of 1500T/Hr 4 Unloaders (Ship to Shore Gantry Crane), which are provided from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. and in the scope of the project that’s been performing by STFA Marine Construction Co. arrived at Qatar on 24.01.2010.

The ship, which has carried 4 unloaders, departed from South Korea’s Mokpo Port on 28.12.2009 and after the 27 day-long travel approached the Berth 3, which was constructed by STFA, without a problem.

According to the set down-operation, which was prepared by Hyundai in a detailed form and with the approvals needed, it is planned that one unloader will be set down each day. After the preperations on-shore and off-shore, first unloader was set down and put on rails on 27.01.2010

Set down-operation of the second unloader has been done by participation of the managers of STFA and Qatar Petroleum on 28.01.2010.

Setting down the fourth unloader without a problem and putting on the rails the operation was successfully completed on 31st of January.

First Oil Well Perforation Opening Ceremony

Related to the Manifa Causeway Project First Oil Well Perforation Opening Ceremony held by Saudi Aramco

Ceremony of first oil well perforation of Manifa Causeway project was held. Saudi Aramco, JDN, STFA and SAIPEM’s (perforated the oil wells) managers were invited and additionally subcontractor company owners were represented at the ceremony.

At the ceremony which is held on 21 Nov 2009, VP of Saudi Aramco told the contribution of Manifa oil region to the country and world economy. 2430m-long main bridge, 180m-long 5 short bridges and 90m-long 8 culvert bridges which were constructed by STFA Marine Construction Co. were praised.

On 28.11.2006 at the bidding of Manifa Causeway Project by Saudi Aramco, Jan De Nul NV made a bid showing STFA Marine Construction Co. as a subcontractor. Contract amount was US$ 1,005,000,000 and it was signed on 04.02.2007. Beside this contract, on 02.03.2007 Jan De Nul NV and STFA Marine Construction Co. have signed a contract which has the amount of US$ 202.500.000.

Aim of the project is constructing 27 islands to the Manifa region at Arabian Gulf, connecting these islands to the land and to themselves by bridges and culverts, hence by the pipelines which are going to be cnstructed in the future, therefore the oil drilled from the islands would be transferred to the land.

Provisional Acceptance Letter has received for Saudi Arabia “Jeddah Drainage Channels” Project

STFA-ALWAN JV has received Provisional acceptance letter that is dated 28.09.2009 for“Municipality Project No.S4-10173, “Jeddah Refurbishment and Covering of the Flood Channel, Phase I” Project, which was tendered as 3 packages by Jeddah Municipality.

Total contract amount of the project is US$ 92 million and STFA share is US$ 42 million. Project consists of construction works of 2194m-long and (3,25mx2,95m) 6-celled for 1. Package, 6055m-long and  (3,25mx4m) 2 ve (3,25mx2,90m) 3-celled for 2. Package, 7095m-long and  (3,25mx2,95m) 3-celled box culverts.

Yarımca Container Terminal

STFA – MAKTAŞ – JDN Consortium Has Received the Letter of Award for the Yarımca Container Terminal Works

STFA Deniz İnşaatı İnşaat San. ve Tic. A.Ş. has received a letter of award on the 04 September 2008 for the “Yarımca Container Terminal Works – Civil Works Contract”.

The Client is DP World.

The total value of the project is 163,079,329 EURO, and STFA’s part shall be 85,614,280 EURO.

The period for completion the works shall be 730 days.

The scope of the project shall consist of a combination wall structure for the main and side berth each approximately 450m; reclamation / filling of the area in between the two combi-wall structures, slope revetment and dredging of the existing seabed.

Provisional Acceptance Letter for Marsa El Brega

Provisional Acceptance Letter for Marsa El Brega Commercial & Industrial Port Maintenance Project has received.

Provisional acceptance letter, which is dated 28.02.2008, has received on 30.03.2009 for Marsa El Brega Commercial & Industrial Port Maintenance Project, that was signed on 28.12.1994 but then the client was changed to Sirte Oil Company (SOC). Final acceptance is planned to be on 28.08.2009.

In the scope of the project, there are followings: Jetty Head No.1,2, Jetty Linkway 1,2, Berthing Dolphin 1,2,3,4, Mooring Dolphin 1,2,3,4,5,6, Breakwater Deck Slab, Mass Concrete & Cantilever, Naftha, Amonia & Methanol Pipelines, Pile Protection System, Pump House Building & Cargo Deck Reconstruction, Customs Buildings (Gate House No. 1,2,3), Substation Buildings (SS. No.2.5, 3) and additional works.

Total contract amount of the project is 15,504,075.124 LD

Port in Qatar

STFA has received the Letter of Award for the New Container Terminal at Mesaieed Port in Qatar

STFA Deniz İnşaatı İnşaat San. ve Tic. A.Ş. has received a letter of award on the 29 September 2008 for the ““Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning for Container Terminal (Berth No. 7) at Mesaieed Port.

The Client is Qatar Petroleum Company.

The total value of the project is QR 1.539,379,874 (424,071,591 USD), and the period for completion the works shall be 26 months.

The scope of the project shall consist of lengthening the quay wall from temporary berth 7 by 345 meter to form a 485 meter long quaywall, filling and reclamation behind the quaywall, supply and manufacturing of four nos of Ship to Shore (STS). Cranes and nine Rubber Tyred (RTG) cranes, construction of buildings and related electrical works.

Duqm Port

Variation Order for Duqm Port

(STFA – CCC  J.V.) – JDN NV Consortium has received a variation order (01.08.2008) for its current contract signed 04 April 2007 with Ministry of Transport and Communications for Construction of a New Port at Duqm project in Oman.

The variation order includes the lengthening of the lea and main breakwaters, quaywalls, deepening the port.

The revised total contract value shall be RO 522,770,029 (1,353,974,375 USD).

Gabbro Berth Expansion in Qatar

STFA & JDN Consortium has received the Letter Of Award for the Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package 1) in Qatar

STFA Deniz İnşaatı İnşaat San ve Tic. A.Ş (STFA Marine Construction Co.) and Jan De Nul Consortium has received a letter of award on the 22 April 2008 for the “Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning for Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package1) at Mesaieed Port”.

STFA is the leader of the consortium and the Client is Qatar Petroleum Company.

The total value of the project is QR 1.883.003.415 (518.733.723 USD) and STFA’s part shall be QR 942.665.092 (259.687.353 USD).

The effective date of the project is 01 May 2008, and the period for completion the works shall be 24 months.

The scope of the project shall consist of, widening of existing channel to Gabbro Berths, deepening of existing basin at Gabbro Berths 1 and 2, dredging of new basin for new Gabbro Berth 3, construction of the 400 m long new quay wall for Gabbro Berth 3, filling and reclamation behind the quay wall, storm drainage, paving of the berth area, piling under crane rail beams, procurement, design and manufacture of Ship to Shore Cranes, construction of substation and carrying out related electrical works.
