Provisional Acceptance Letter for Marsa El Brega Commercial & Industrial Port Maintenance Project has received.

Provisional acceptance letter, which is dated 28.02.2008, has received on 30.03.2009 for Marsa El Brega Commercial & Industrial Port Maintenance Project, that was signed on 28.12.1994 but then the client was changed to Sirte Oil Company (SOC). Final acceptance is planned to be on 28.08.2009.

In the scope of the project, there are followings: Jetty Head No.1,2, Jetty Linkway 1,2, Berthing Dolphin 1,2,3,4, Mooring Dolphin 1,2,3,4,5,6, Breakwater Deck Slab, Mass Concrete & Cantilever, Naftha, Amonia & Methanol Pipelines, Pile Protection System, Pump House Building & Cargo Deck Reconstruction, Customs Buildings (Gate House No. 1,2,3), Substation Buildings (SS. No.2.5, 3) and additional works.

Total contract amount of the project is 15,504,075.124 LD

Port in Qatar

STFA has received the Letter of Award for the New Container Terminal at Mesaieed Port in Qatar

STFA Deniz İnşaatı İnşaat San. ve Tic. A.Ş. has received a letter of award on the 29 September 2008 for the ““Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning for Container Terminal (Berth No. 7) at Mesaieed Port.

The Client is Qatar Petroleum Company.

The total value of the project is QR 1.539,379,874 (424,071,591 USD), and the period for completion the works shall be 26 months.

The scope of the project shall consist of lengthening the quay wall from temporary berth 7 by 345 meter to form a 485 meter long quaywall, filling and reclamation behind the quaywall, supply and manufacturing of four nos of Ship to Shore (STS). Cranes and nine Rubber Tyred (RTG) cranes, construction of buildings and related electrical works.

Duqm Port

Variation Order for Duqm Port

(STFA – CCC  J.V.) – JDN NV Consortium has received a variation order (01.08.2008) for its current contract signed 04 April 2007 with Ministry of Transport and Communications for Construction of a New Port at Duqm project in Oman.

The variation order includes the lengthening of the lea and main breakwaters, quaywalls, deepening the port.

The revised total contract value shall be RO 522,770,029 (1,353,974,375 USD).

Gabbro Berth Expansion in Qatar

STFA & JDN Consortium has received the Letter Of Award for the Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package 1) in Qatar

STFA Deniz İnşaatı İnşaat San ve Tic. A.Ş (STFA Marine Construction Co.) and Jan De Nul Consortium has received a letter of award on the 22 April 2008 for the “Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning for Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package1) at Mesaieed Port”.

STFA is the leader of the consortium and the Client is Qatar Petroleum Company.

The total value of the project is QR 1.883.003.415 (518.733.723 USD) and STFA’s part shall be QR 942.665.092 (259.687.353 USD).

The effective date of the project is 01 May 2008, and the period for completion the works shall be 24 months.

The scope of the project shall consist of, widening of existing channel to Gabbro Berths, deepening of existing basin at Gabbro Berths 1 and 2, dredging of new basin for new Gabbro Berth 3, construction of the 400 m long new quay wall for Gabbro Berth 3, filling and reclamation behind the quay wall, storm drainage, paving of the berth area, piling under crane rail beams, procurement, design and manufacture of Ship to Shore Cranes, construction of substation and carrying out related electrical works.

STFA Deniz İnşaat Continues its Projects in Qatar with Berth 6

STFA Deniz İnşaatı İnşaat San ve Tic. A.Ş has signed a contract with Fluor Mideast Limited for Common Lean LNG Loading Facilities Berth No: 6 in Ras Laffan, Qatar on 02 November 2007

Qatargas Operating Company Limited is developing an integrated lean LNG storage and loading facility at Ras Laffan Industrial City located on the northeast coast of Qatar.

Phase 6 of this project consists of adding a new dock facility for loading lean LNG from LNG tanks. Phase 6 specifically includes:

A 580 m long LNG Berth 6 Abutment and Tie-in to New Main Breakwater

LNG Loading Platform Block Foundation, with Cast Reinforced Concrete (CRC) cap.

Four (4) Breasting Dolphins on Block Foundations with CRC caps equipped with fenders and quick release hooks (double) with capstan.

Eight (8) Mooring Dolphins on Block Foundations with CRC caps equipped with quick release hooks (quadruple) with capstan.

Souk Al Ahad

STFA Continues its Housing Projects in Libya with Souk Al Ahad 2000 Housing Units Project

STFA Construction Company has signed a contract with Organization for Development of Administrative Centers (ODAC) in Libya for Souk Al Ahad 2000 Housing Units Project. The bidding of the project was in May 2007. The project value is 256.953.000 USD and has a construction period of 24 months.

The project is located at the Souk Al Ahad Region near Tripoli and comprises of Design, Engineering, Procurement and Construction Works of 2000 villas. 1000 of these villas will be single storey and the remaining 1000 will be double storey. The signed part of the project covers only the construction of the villas. With the additional works consisting of gardens and fences, roads, infrastructure works, wastewater treatment plant and landscaping, the whole project is expected to be worth a total sum of 400 Million USD approximately.

Küçüksu Wastewater Pretreatment

STFA received Final Completion Certificate for Küçüksu Wastewater Pretreatment Plant and Sea Outfall Project

Küçüksu Wastewater Pretreatment Plant and Sea Outfall Project, which has been awarded on 10 May 2001 by a contract signed between Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI) and STFA Marine Construction Co. – STFA Infrastructure & Tunnel Construction Contracting Industry and Trade Co. Joint Venture, was handed over to the Client after receiving the Final Complition Certificate on 30 April 2007. The project was completed in 2006 and Temporary Completion Certificate was signed on 15 May 2006.

The project scope covered the  construction of 1035 m. long Küçüksu Tunnel and also the construction of Küçükçekmece Sea Outfall works additional to the Küçüksu Wastewater Pretreatment Plant and Sea Outfall Civil Works. With the additional works, the value of the project reached 21 Million USD.

Duqm Port project

STFA has signed a contract for Duqm Port project in Oman

d(STFA – CCC J.V.) – JDN NV Consorsium has signed a contract on 04.April.2007 with Ministry of Transport and Communications for Construction of a New Port at Duqm project in Oman.

The project with a value of 484,050,280 US Dollars covers the construction of 2811m and 2738 m long breakwaters, 700 m long commercial quay wall of concrete blocks with 16m depth designed for containers, general cargo and drydock bulk vessels, 330 m long quay wall of concrete blocks with 8 m depth designed for navy and coast guard vessels, a small craft berth for tugs and pilot boats and also 31,000,000 cum of dredging and reclamation works.

Northern Jeddah Drainage Channel Culvert Project

STFA has signed a contract for Northern Jeddah Drainage Channel Culvert Project in Saudi Arabia

STFA Construction Co. In JV with ALWAN has signed a contract with Municipality of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia for the Northern Jeddah Drainage Channel Culvert Project which had been tendered on 11 December 2006.

The Project, consisting from 3 packages has a total value of 85.275.959 USD. The first package covers 2194 m. length (3,25 m x 2,95 m)  box culverts with 6 cells. The second package covers 6055 m. length ( 3,25 m. X 2,90 m. – 3,25 m. X 4 m. ) box culverts with 2 and 3 cells. And the third package covers 7095 m. Length ( 3,25 m. X 2,95 m. ) box culverts with 3 cells.

Manifa Causeway

STFA is to take part in Manifa Causeway

Jan De Nul NV had applied for the tender of Saudi Aramco’s Manifa Oil Field Redevelopment (Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication of Manifa Causeway) Project together with STFA Marine Construction Company on 28.November.2006.  The value of the tender was 1,005,000,000 US Dollars and with this price Jan De Nul NV has been awarded the project and signed a contract with Aramco on 4.February.2006.

The aim of the project is to construct 27 drilling islands at Persian Gulf, Manifa Region and to link these islands to each other and also to the land by a causeway consisting of roads, bridges and culverts in order to transfer the oil that shall be drilled from the islands by a pipeline.

Following the contract signature with Saudi Aramco, Jan De Nul NV has signed an EPC back to back contract with STFA Marine Construction Company for a value of 202,500,000 US Dollars at STFA Business Center in Istanbul on 2.March.2007.

The contract of STFA covers the design and construction of pavement and infrastructure works of 41km causeway, north and south berths and also ro-ro facility. The main work items of the causeway are the construction of a main bridge with 2.4km length, 5 nos of bridges each having 180m length and construction of 8 nos of precast culverts consisting of 250 nos of 5mx3mx3m segments.
