In Doha Metro Gold Line Project First Tbm Breakthrough Was Achieved

In Doha Metro Gold Line Project, the first TBM breakthrough was successfully achieved on 30th August 2015, when TBM No.3 completed the tunnel boring distance of 1,257 meter from Al Sudan Station to Joaan Station. Adjacent TBM No.4 (also shown in pictures) will reach Joaan Station in the first week of September 2015. Cumulative tunnel boring distance by all 6 TBM’s in Gold Line Project has exceeded 6,000 meter by the end of August 2015.

 

The Cranes Have Arrived To Yarimca Project

DP World’s Yarimca Container Terminal is planning to receive the 1st commercial vessel on 23th June 2015 by which the official opening will also take place. In this respect, 4 ship to shore cranes to be operated on main berth and 8 rubber tired gantry cranes to be operated at yard area have arrived to Yarimca in May 2015. As the recent technology terminal operating systems will be implemented in Yarimca, all cranes (either quay or yard) are planned to be operated from a central control room with a remote control.

We Have Been Invited For Salallah Outfall In Oman

We have been informed that we have been invited in order to sign the agreement with the letter we received from the employer on 18.06.2015 for Salallah Outfall project, which was tendered by Salalah Sanitary Drainage Services Co. in Oman. The agreement will be signed following completion of the agreement preparation.

There are dredging, installation of discharge pipes, integration of this line to the pumping station which located in land, renovation of the pumping station and installation of extra pumps works.

Completion Certificate Has Been Received For Taqah Fishery Harbour Project

Completion Certificate has been received on 15.06.2015 for Taqah Fishery Harbour Project, which was undertaken by the contract signed on 31.03.2013.

Project covers the construction of breakwaters, berth, reclamation, and desing and built of Pantoons. Besides, the Construction of link road to connect Salalah – Mirbat main road to port and internal service roads will be done under the scope of the Contract.

“Sharq” Launching Ceremony Held In Doha Metro, Gold Line Underground Project

Works are ongoing with full pace in the design and build contract “Gold Line Underground” which was signed with Qatar Rail on April 23, 2014.

The first of six Herrenknecht Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM 1) that will excavate one of the tunnels of the project, has been launched successfully as planned, with a ceremony held at the Airport City North Station on February 22, 2015. “Sharq” name was given to TBM 1.

Sharq will start excavation at the Airport City North Station, and follow a course through National Museum/Al Sharq and Doha Souq Station, reaching to the Msheireb Station about 4 km ahead. Once the tunnel excavation is completed, it will be dismantled and removed from the tunnel through the previous station to the surface.

Final Acceptance Letter Has Been Received For Epic For Gabbro Berth Expansion (Pack. 1) At Mesaieed Port

Final Acceptance Letter has been received on February 2, 2015 for the “Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning for Gabbro Berth Expansion (Package1) at Mesaieed Port” Project, undertaken as STFA-JDN Consortium according to the agreement signed with Qatar Petroleum in on May 1, 2008 in Qatar,

The project includes 400m of quay wall construction (bedding, leveling, scour protection, underwater block placement), block fabrication, preloading of the Quay Wall, backfilling, quay furniture Installation (fenders, bollards, rings, ladders, etc.), cranes rails piles and beams, 4 nos. of STS gantry cranes, electrical and mechanical works, substation building, lighting and cabling, infrastructure works.

Provisional Acceptance Letter Has Been Received For Tupras New Jetty Project

Provisional acceptance letter has been received on 31.01.2015 for Izmit Refinery Zone B –Rehabilitation of Quay and Construction of New Jetty Project, which was undertaken as STFA-Körfez Deniz JV by the contract signed on 04.07.2013 with Tüpraş.

Project covers the 780 m long jetty with steel piles, rehabilitation of 571 m long quay with steel piles, removal of existing jetty, Mechanical Works including 2.144 ton piperack installation and 43km process piping, electrical and instrumentation works.

STFA Won Qatar Doha Metro “Gold Line” Tender

STFA, Within a Consortium of Five, Competed Against World’s Biggest Companies and Won Qatar Doha Metro “Gold Line” Tender for $4.4 billion

STFA, Turkey’s leading construction company with important and prestigious construction projects domestically and abroad, have won the “Gold Line” tender, the largest line within the Qatar Doha Metro, as part of a consortium of five, named ALYSJ.

The Gold Line tender, one of the investments being made in preparation for 2022 World Cup, is the biggest project in Qatar for this purpose with a cost of $4.4 billion.

With the signing ceremony held on April 23, 2014, STFA with its partners achieved the biggest tender ever won by Turkish contractors abroad.

Construction projects proceed without slowing down in the Gulf country Qatar, which will host the 2022 World Cup. Many companies from Turkey and around the world have put in for the projects in Qatar, which include Metros, underground stations, railroads, stadiums, shopping malls, hotels, highways, bridges, immersed tunnels and reservoirs. About 700 companies showed interest in one of the most important of these projects, the Doha Metro tender, and 70 joint ventures made up of 290 of these companies submitted competency files. The employer lowered the number of joint ventures first to 32, then to 18 and invited these joint ventures for the tenders. The $4.4 billion-worth Gold Line packet of the Doha Metro, made up of four main lines, was signed by STFA and its partners.
